I was just wondering what everyones opinion was on a MAC cai compared to a JLT cai. I don't know that there are huge differences in performance between the two, or others for that matter. I do know that the JLT goes straight all the way up to the throtte body, which I like but I've already purchased a MAC not knowing it only goes to the MAF. I would like to get rid of those ribbed sound dampeners if I can cause cai sounds sweet without them. Is there any parts out there to replace this section? And what other intakes are good?

 

o god,the jlt hands down. best cai out there. bigger inlet pipe and a less heat producing material

 

actually I heard a few people say the MAC is better.



IMO jlt is WAY WAY overrated. And ugly as sin.

 

it is always going to be a personal preference. I love my JLT

 

I chose against the JLT & went K&N simply because I didnt want to have to pull the tire off everytime I wanted to clean the filter.

 

I actually saw a picture on another forum of a JLT next to a MAC and the JLT looked twice as big. It was enormous!

 

ya it doesnt leave room for a strut bar across the engine bay but its amazing in gains
