Default 95 5.0 cobra

I think im buying a 95 cobra with 145k lowered 1.5 inches, flowmasters for $3800 problem with it is that it has a little quarter panel damge and a little fender damge. I have always wanted a 5.0 cobra, do all you out there think this is a good deal?

145K on the original engine? you might be looking at a rebuild...and unless you feel you can remove the quarter panel damage by popping it out, that'll be another 1500 to fix up. it seems dinged up...and unless you know the owner i feel you may be getting into someone elses problems.

the quarterpannel and fender damage im going to assume is from an accident?

If so youll want to have the frame checked out. A good way to know right away is to check the wear pattern on the tires. If the frame is bent, it will look abnormal and crooked. Kind of like when you drive when you car is out of alignment.

honestly if the damage isnt that bad, and the rest of the car is in good codition, then I think thats a great price. Especially for a potential project car.

pony is right about the engine, but usually those engines can take up to 200k miles if theyre not whomped on (which is rare haha). Luckily for you, a 5.0 is relatively cheap and simple to rebuild, if you felt like getting into that.

If youve really always wanted a 5.0 then this sounds likea great project car.
