sad day man... Many, manyyyy of my friends have c5 vetts and they love them but none of them are all that fast except my friend aaron. He did the AFR 215 i think, a ms4 cam fast 90-90 intake lg motorsport headders and put down 478 rwhp 434 tq and all that power was way up top where he couldn't use it with cast internals... and he has no tq or hp down low like your going to miss with your cobra. And stock Z06's are the same thing engine wise as normal ls1's just mild cam head and intake. Stock LS6's put down 344 rwhp which is horrible and the parts are sooooo expensive from my standpoint. Heads 2500 headders the lg motorsport ones are almost 2 g. But enjoy your new ride we r gonna miss you but you will be back...

thats it for all that? i thought those years were rated at like 405 or so, so basically you'll only pick up say 60-70 rwhp?

That's 405hp at the motor and 360rwhp stock so it will pick up about 80-100rwhp.

You're starting from scratch so It'll be a while before boredom catches back up with you. And we all know how LSX's can be monsters with Heads and a Cam and/or spray.

stock ls1 cast bottom end is rated at 500 flywheel hp sooo. Cam+heads+supercharger=Ls1 die... even with a crazzy cam and crazzy heads you would have to spend 4 to 6 G just to get 500 rwhp. Iamone cobra guy among many many vette friends and this is all they talk about. There is no way on planet earth he will be in the 10's with head and cams. The powerband is way out of the cast bottom ends range like ms4 cam revs out at 7200rpm... They have long long trannys ratios and they are horrible off the line in the quarter. On the plus side the bottom end parts are easy to put in like real easy!
