Default Nitto vs. M/T drag radials

You can see the hp and tq that I have in my sig, which do you think is the better choice in drag radials? I would be putting these on a 9in rim so my choices would be 315 Nitto's or 275 M/T's. I know Nitto's dont hook as much as M/T's, but they do last longer. Which is a better choice for me at the track do you think?

if your going to have them just for the track its a no brainer, go with the MT's. If you use them all the time go with the nitto's.

Ok, just wanted to see what some others had to say about it... I guess I'm afraid I'll almost hook up too good with the M/T with a relatively stock suspension other than my bf irs brace. As long as I dont hop, I guess the big thing I would have to worry about is my halfshaft.

I hooked a 1.888 60" on my Nittos while bogging so they're really fine... Mickeys are as good as they get for DOT d/r... but you're right you might have some suspension issues, and not only that... your clutch might pop (the input shaft)... if your going to buy tires strictly for the track i'd go with BFs/MIckeys but watch how you launch...

My nittos are working perfectly fine as a DD tire though...

Nittos are good, but from my experience a great tire for strip/street is the toyo t1r's. I hook up perfectly in them. Although I dont have IRS I think they'll still get the job done.

Well I decided to go ahead and buy some 315 Nitto drag radials... they just fit for what I'm looking for right now. Maybe once I do some bushings and new clutch kit, etc... I may get the M/T for the track then. Until then, the Nitto's will work just fine.

Thanks for the input guys

the nittos look really good under the car too. the contact patch is about the same as the 275 m/t but they just look meatier.you'll like em.
