Default putting in a 4v

I asked in the 4.6 section but no one seemed to know, so I'll ask here. What all would I need to put an "intake to oil pan" 96 cobra engine into my car? The one big thing I am thinking is going to be a problem is I have an automatic trans. I know I would need new lts cuz mine wont fit. But what else do I need. Hopefully you guys can help.

After the tranny swap (all parts switched to manual trans), screwing around with all the odds and ends, and buying the engine itself, you'll have spet as much s just buying a 97 cobra.

So..why not just BUY a cobra in the same year for the same amount of money, rather then make a "fobra"?

You don't need to buy an automatic transmission, after doing my research a lil here in the past few days you just need a new flexplate. So I'm not going to be switching into a manual trans (automatic is better anyway) I'm just wondering if I need to switch ALL of the harnesses and the computer or just certain harnesses? And I'm getting the complete motor for 1100 soo I'm making out on the cheap end.

When I did the swap, I had to replace every hose, cable and tube that connects to the motor... and get a Cobra fuel tank/pump

No mine was a t45 to begin with, at first i did swap fuel pumps, tuned it and it was fine, once i blew it i got the walbro pump but still a gt tank, you dont need to swap fuel tanks.

If you have a 30 mile (each way) commute in traffic, like I do... automatic is waaaaay better.

....plus you can stay on the gas (and boost) during the shifts.

Automatics can also be built to be stonger than a manual tranny.
