umm since they are 10000x more reliable! Look at any 1/4 mile drag car in like the nhra they are automatics.... its just more reliable becuase the shifts are always at the same point, you can't screw up the shift.... but yea... driving manual is much more fun!

 

mehhh.. drag cars may use it but all the rest of the motor sports cars use some type of manual transmission, be it shifter or paddle shift.
