Default New here, some questions.

I just bought a 99 Cobra convertable 20,000 miles, no kidding. This thing is like brand new. Previous owner was a 60 year old guy so I doubt he stomped on it much, if at all. Brand new tires, aftermarket alarm system, a few other small things. Looking underneath it, it doesn't look like it was ever driven in rain, it is so clean. My questions are:
I paid $15,000 (gladly). It that too much for what I got?
I changed the oil to synthetic and it took 7 quarts. Is that right?
I have the normal Mustang owners manual, but no Cobra supplement (there must be one). Where can I get one?
Anyway guys, thanks in advance.

15k for that car really isn't to bad... Yes 7 qts is about average. You can call 800-367-3788 - thats SVT, you can find out your build number, and get copies of your SVT build certificate and what not.

As far as the manual, im not sure there is one. Mine didn't come with a manual... but i can't imagine it'd be much different - the cover and all that jazz are different though. Check Ebay - im sure you can find that stuff.

I know the SVT certificate costs $30.00, you can get your original window sticker for free, atleast I got mine for free...

this is 34.95 and it's for a 2001 owners manual.

EDIT: This is for the supplement only, I apologize.

Just a tad high as far as $ but if the car is in excellant shape as you say it is and you're comfortable with what you paid I'd say good find. Have fun and congratulations!

the 99 cobra had a mustang manual and an SVT manual. Mine had both in the little SVT Owners manual book holder. The SVT just outlines the specs and special oils and what not at time of production to use. Lots of motorcraft stuff. Had a picture of a 99 red coupe in front.
