I was thinking about purchasing 3.73 gears, with the Diablosport Predator Programmer, and royal purple gear oil from americanmuscle.com. I wanted to know if I need a programmable chip for the Diablosport Predator to do me any good or does it just reflash my cars stock computer? I don't know anything when it comes to these programmers and chips and shi*. Right now I have a jet performance chip in there will that work? Please give me full information and everything you know about this stuff. I really want to know before I make this purchase. And also is there anything else I need for the rear if I purchase this stuff??

 

Well if you list your upgrades when you order the Preator from american muscle, they will estimate the best they can and create you a custom tune for the Predator. You dont need a chip or anything, the Predator plugs in under your drivers side dashboard and it updates the tune on your stock PCM(computer). It keeps your stock tune in the unit itself, and if you ever want to go back to stock, plug the Predator back in and reverse the tune.

 

Honestly a lot of people go with the SCT tuner. More tuners out there preffer it too.
