Can anyone tell me how to eliminate codes from causing my check engine light to come on? I have a '97 Cobra that keeps throwing the P1518 Code for IMRC. The car runs smooth and pulls hard above and below 3200 rpm. I'd like to just get the Check Engine light tricked to turn off. How can I do this?

hey i have the same car and the same problem... im not sure what code is causing mine becasue i didnt havt it checked becasue they told me it was 120 to check it out but i still took it in and they said that they couldnt find anything wrong with it and like you said my car runs great its just that light is still on.

 

You can go to Advance Auto or Autozone and they will pull the codes for you. You can then look them up here. My codes are P1518 & P1516. My IMRC is stuck open - not a problem for me.
