hey guys i heard by changing the cobra pulley to a 2.8 you can get gaines up to 60 rwhp, is that true? and if it is how much of a tenths can it shave off your 1/4 mile? thanksssssss[8D]

 

Yep, I know a guy that runs 11.8's with a 2.8 pulley but he has a solid rear.

 

solid rear axle? how much does it cost, i dnt really kno what that is but people say its better then irs or something

 

Doodad - who is running pulley, idler, intake and exhaust is running 11.7s i think... if u can drive it you can get into the 11's easily with just a pulley - but you also need a tune also...

 

then why doesnt every1 just put a pulley, its cost very little, what like 130 including the belt as well? Also ive seen people with 2.8 pulleys and bunch of other mods that are still in the 12 seconds why?

 

a pulley isnt that cheap i mean for it to work you need
pulley 150 for billetflow
idler/idlers 130-250
belt 35
plugs 20
tune w/ chip or programmer 500-700
plus if your gonna fork over the cash for an expensive dyno tune you may as well get most of your mods done like intake and exhaust, plus you need cooling mods to be safe

 

not everyone is a perfect driver and wants to launch their car at high rpms
