Ok, I need a straight answer - I've been trying to research to find out if the 2001 Cobra has indeed, a forged crankshaft. Does it? The closest answer I found was here: http://www.svtperformance.com/forums...d.php?t=213074 It sounds like, after reading this post, that it does but I guess I need a firm answer =) Sorry for such a newb question. according to sean hylands book, all the dohc cobras had a forged crankshaft.

 

yep forged crank cast pistons and cast rods. And i believe that only the 01 03-04 cobras have forged cranks...

 

the pistons are not cast, they are hyperutectic

 

I thought the 99's had forged cranks too.

 

99's do have forged cranks as well.
