Default 03 Cobra Running Lean ??

How many people that have 03 or 04 Cobra's that have been tuned by RWTD? I went to get my car dynoed and they told me that my car was extremely lean at WOT. I got my car dynoed three of four months ago with the same mods and tune from RWTD and the fuel to air ratio was between 11.8 and 12.1. The other place told me it was at like 14.0 how is that possible if I havent changed any of my mods without a changing my tune? It would help me out if anyone could give me some pointers.

if your maf gets dirty it can affect your A/F but usually it will go to the rich side. I have a tough time believing it was at 14.0 i would think it would detonate badly at that point and you would noticably hear it. is there any way to check it again somewhere else without a major expense.

Yeah I also have a friend that has an 03 Cobra to and he has the exact same mods and his is tuned by RWTD and he told me the same thing that you did about it detonating if it was that high the place that I got it dynoed at the stuck a copper line up the tail pipe how accurate is that??

Not accurate at all, I had a bung welded to my exhaust and they measure it on the dyno. Id say at a 14.0 A/F you car would be done.

the tail pipe meter can be very accurate depends on how long or short it is though. at the dyno we tune on it will read within a few tenths of the weld in bungs on most cars. as for the signiture you just have to past in a img hosting link into the signature box on your profile.

Did RWTD tune the car and make those firstdyno pulls with a fan in front of the car?

Having a fan in front of the car while making a dyno pull affects the a/f ratio a lot. It'll make your a/f ratio line look like a roller coaster. If RWTD tuned the car without a fan in front, and the other shop did use a fan, then that would be your explanation.

Also, have you changed the position of your MAF sensor since RWTD tuned it?

If the MAF reads the incoming air at an inconsistant position (different position than where it was tuned at),the computer will addinconsistant amounts of fuel to compensate (too much or too little fuel). It's important to keep your MAF at the same position it was tuned at so that it reads the incoming air consistantly, and continues make consistant adjustments.
