Default Heat Exchanger

How important is it to upgrade the heat exchanger on a Cobra? I see that a lot of guys do this. I'm getting a Cobra soon so I'm trying to figure everything out about it before I get so I have a jump start.

i think it depends on what type of racing you do... Freeway racing def get one. After a few hard races on the freeway i can pull off and feel my intercooler temp and it will almost be the same temp as the outside air... But quarter mile with a cool down you wouldn't really need one that bad...

The heat exchanger helps IAT2 temps.. it allows you to run more without getting as heat soaked... you will not really have much of a problem without one, but your motor will get heatsoaked quicker... It's not overly expensive and you can tell when you run that it's not as hot.
