Default termintor blocks?!?

i have heard some good things and i have heard some bad things about the 03/04 cobra blocks i am about to turbo my 01 cobra and i have a 03 block and i was just wondering the HP rating on the block itself or would i be better off just useing my block or even better yet just getting a whole new block in itself. we are hoping for some where near 650-700 and i was just wondering how long or even if the 03/04 block or even my block would hold?

the 03 cobra block is nothing more than the modular cast iron block, being made of iron, it responds to boost differently than aluminum, but should hold the numbers your looking at
The 99 and 01 blocks are capable (according to sean hyland motorsports) to perform up to 600 hp...but there are plenty of combo's runnin higher
The 96-98 cobra blocks are capable of 1000+ hp because they were manufactured by the Teksid Aluminum Company...same company that makes ferrari engines...better castings than the 99-01's, often refered to as the "teksid block"

i saw a magazine where they took a stock 03-04 cobra block and tested all different methods of boostin it. they got 1000hp (flywheel) off a TT setup.

Do not go with ur stock 01 block. Either go witha Teksid or a Terminator block. I got a terminator block, and its doing just fine.

confirm that you do or do not have a Teksid block before you ****-can it. Quite a few 01's DID have Teksid blocks.
