Fords contract ran out with Teksid in 98, that doesnt mean 98 was the last model year that got a Teksid block. many 99's and some '01's have them. check www.svtperformance.com there are a few '01 owners there who have confirmed they have Teksid blocks.

He probably has valid points. Many road racers scrap the expensive mod 4.6 for a pushrod 5.0 for many reasons. The supercharger suffers from heat soak which can be detrimental in terms of lap consistancy. The IRS is expensive to build, crunched to fit a live axle set up and a little heavy. Thats just off the top of my head, but don't get me wrong...there's ups and downs toeverycar and by no means would i call a termi "junk" personally.

^^ half way down, there's a pic displaying visual differences in the teksid and windsor castings. You can also tell by the presenceof a casting number down on the drivers side block skirt, middle of the block above the oil pan. If there is a block casting number (something along the lines of FPSS-6010Z-BSZ) then you have teksid blocks, windsor cast their numbers in a different location. hope it helps some
