got an offer on an 1996 mystic cobra with perfect paint and tranny with FR500's and 130,000 on the motor the motor has a rod knocking. wondering if it would be worth it and how much it would prob cost to fix??????/

if someone is doing it for u, it will be a good $6-7000 to replace the bottom end.

everything was checked al it needs is rod bearings also i would go ahead and put new rings in it.

unless it was completely pulled apart and it was checked thoroughly, i doubt it was just your rod bearing. but even if it was, then ur crank might be damaged too. sounds like a bad deal to me.

spend an extra 3 grand on one that doesnt need any work with those type of miles
