Default Clicking Noise!

I was wondering if you guys could help me out with this problem. I have an 04 cobra and when i apply the brakes i hear this clicking noise that sounds like it's coming from the two front brakes. When the car gets hot, i hear this noise even without applying the brakes. It seems like when the car gets hotter, the noise gets louder. I have anti rattle clips on the calipers so i know its not that. Any ideas?

About a 100 percent sure its your brakes! My pads didnt last for more than 7 months lol alot of high speed runs and stopping from a 160 plus it doesnt take long for them to be gone.

i've had this problem since i bought the car. When i bought it, i put brand new hawk performance pads on. so it can't be because their worn. Could it be the rotors? or maybe the drive shaft? sometimes it clicks even without applying the brakes.

The dealership installed the pads because they had worn out pads on the car when they sold it to me. I would assume that they did not turn the rotors and they were not replaced. i will try that, thanks. i have 27,500 on the car.

I think you are experiencing the same problem as me. Do they rattle over bumps, and make a popping noise when you first touch the brakes? If so, its that whoever put in the pads either didnt use the supplied shims or used them incorrectly. On our calipers, if these shims are not used (or used right) the top part of the caliper rattles up/down and back/forward when hitting bumpscausing noise. Then when you hit the brakes they kinda tilt or slide forward until the pads hit the caliper bracket and make the noise again. The way you can test for this is to go out to your car when it's cool and jiggle the calipers (the part that says Cobra on it). They should not move at all. If they do move (all it takes is a millimeter or so), thats your problem, get your pads replaced by someone else.

Also, in my experience, aftermarket pads for our cars do not come with the right shims and stuff. I have bought two sets of aftermarket pads that didnot have the extra shims, and one set didnt even have the little metal spring that is riveted to the factory ones. I fixed the problem with factory pads.
