i went auto zone to have a code read on my 97 cobra and the hook up below the steering wheel is completely gone. has anyone ever saw this before? why would someone remove this from the car? this one i cant understand

 

Are you sure its completely gone, and not just unbolted and pushed somewhere else. On our cars its not directly under the wheel, its towards the middle of the car by the center console. Sort of tucked away in the corner.

 

i took the lower dash off and found some plugs when i buy a new odb plug hopefully they are the wires i am looking for.

 

I still find that weird that its gone. Could you take a pic of those plugs.. Ill tell you whether or not they might work.
