dumb question, but how would you make a 'ram air' setup work on a FI car?

I have never seen a "RAM" air kit for the terminators. all i know is that there are some cold air kits that come with heatshields, and others that actually go into the fender.

Not An actual Ram air duh just instead of going into the fender just put a filter on top right after the MAF meter!! Its basically the same thing!!

well it needs the heat shield otherwise its just going to be suckin in the hot air from the engine bay, and it will lose power. the heat shield around the filter, will only allow it to suck in air from the hole in the fender, and not allow the hot engine air from getting to the filter.

I'm going to be going with JLT RAI. The CAI will have produce better numbers of course but it's pricey. If you don't see how cold air is better it's b/c cold air is denser so you can get more air into your engine, producing more power

Same here I'm going w/ the JLT True Cold Air Intake, the one that runs straight into the fenderwell. $220 but one of the best intakes on the market today...

I just checked JLT's website. I thought they used to call the RAI kit a 'raised air' intake. Looks like I was wrong, or they changed the name. It IS NOT a 'Ram-Air' setup. Marketing and deception. They just went down one notch in my book.

JLT is the ****! Im just disappointed that they call their RAI a 'ram-air' kit, since it is not at all. No idea about the CAI making the supercharger whine louder. I had an SLP CAI on a firebird though It wasnt SC'ed. but itdefinately made a bit of noise sucking in air... they arent baffled like stock units.
