Default my cobra is done for a while

Well talked to the guys at DB today, looks like number 7 cylinder is out. compreesion was only at 90 all other 7 were at around 150 and on the leak down test the good cylinders were around 5% while number 7 was at 80%.
so it looks like i am going to be spending osme money. I am looking at doing a 20 over set up and replacing with diampnd pistons. thinking of looking into a stroker setup for it. and while i am there i may as well replace the cams, possibly port the heads, do the big turbo setup, clutch, flywheel and input shaft and put in a head cooling mod. It is going to be big money but hopefully i will be able to push some huge power.
unfortunately i won't have the car runningfor the rest of the year but it will be coming back bigger and badder than ever next spring.

That sounds like it is gonna be a huge, huge difference by next year. Good luck man... that is gonna take some serious money to do all that.

damn, i feel for u man.... any signs of running lean?? but yeah, the terminator pistons are the weak link of the short block... the rods are great though....

no i think it was just the heat from multiple hugh speed pulls. my tun was actually a bit on the conservative side

yeah, well like i said, stock pistons suck, hehe. any aftermarket, will take more than the stockers..... even though they are forged..... but i wanna know where u found someone to do all that work to ur car for only $10k??? for a stroker turbo setup?? thats a good deal,

not sure what the stroker is going to cost, haven't asked about that too much yet, not sure what all it involves, but i am sure a new crank shaft for sure. i am looking at aorund 5k for the turbo setup, about 1k for the clutch a couple grand for the machining. so even if it is 2k for the stroke setup it will be about 10-11 maybe a bit more with labor and tuning.

well if ur running that kind of power, ur going to want a serious fuel system, which will be costly, and a built solid rear axle, which is another couple grand... and 5K for a turbo system is hella cheap!!

yep, but, if i were u, i would do a quick fix first, and just replace all of ur pistons with forged probe pistons and then while ur at it, do the ldc chicago coolin mod, and u'll be set for a lot of power..... just my opinion though, and that way, ur car wont have to be down for so long, and it wouldn't even cost that much....
