i found a 01 cobra for sale w/ 43000 mi and was wondering are internals forged and is this a good year for cobra

Internals are not forged, stock that is. This is a great year for the Cobra, better than my 99 cuz the 01 had 31spline and mine came with 28. Plus the 01's never had a problem like the 99's did with the so called "FIX". The rear bumper on the 01's actually say Cobra whereas my 99 says Mustang, how gay is that. A couple of others things too but overall a great car to start modding or just cruise around in. Not as good as the 03/04 but you could save about 10k and put a blower on yourself and make a little more HP, but then the 03/04's are just different cars all together than the 99/01's.

Nope! Not that we're comparing apples to apples but my car about 2.5 years ago with 27k miles on it went for 18.5. I'll sell you my car for 22k with a blower installed on it I have 58k miles on it now. I'd look around. Go to svtperformance.com and there's always guys selling their Cobras on there. You'd get one hell of a deal. You should pay around 16k for it.

you can come across 03 cobras for 24k now a days. rare, but possible.

I love my 01 Cobra! - go for it, but make them go down on the price, I think anything under 18K is a good deal, what color is it? my car is silver conv. with black top. Love it! it's not an 03/04 but it's still fast! I have raced a couple of 03's and I actually have outrun them until we both hit 3rd gear and then it's history for me, the only thing I hear is that supercharger doing that crazy sound that we all have heard by now, you know... the "eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeewwwh!..." LOL

it is black with black int. going sat. to look and maybe deal if the price is right they also have a 04gt w/ 4930mi on it for the same price so i dont know i'll ley yall know the outcome of the deal also whgat is the warranty for svt cause that is the only thing i am iffy about i'd rather have a warranty in case $hit goes wrong

warranty is optional and it all depends on the dealer - consider insurance price for both cars, get some quotes before shopping, I pay $100 per month for my SVT, it's good considering where I live insurance is really expensive, my friend pays double for a GT but he has tickets - just things to consider, good luck with your purchase.

thanx already got quotes 72 a month for svt or 132 gor the gt. thats crazy consdering i am only 20 with a speeding ticket but that was 2.5 yrs ago also i quoted a conv.gt and was cheaper than a coupe wonder why
