Default 100 SHOT.......

I've got a 1997 Cobra with only 54,000 miles and I was thinking of putting a Zex 100 shot kit, window switch, bottle warmer, etc....I'm dying to buy the kit, Im just worried it might mess something up. Any advise would be much appreciated. This car only gets drove about 1 or 2 every other week.

I've always heard the danger zone is right around 450rwhp on our engines. Of course I can't say that nothing will go wrong because any time you add power something can go wrong. I wouldn't worry too much about a 100 shot butI would go get a tune once it is installed.

honestly, i dont think a tune is necessary for a 100 wet shot, but ANYTHING more than that, you will have to pull some timing out. once the nitrous is installed, its a good idea to make the gap on ur plug narrower, like 30 thousandths

That's how things get messed up though. If you're considering Nitrous, take all the necessary paths to make sure your system is a safe running system. Nitrous can blow your motor to peices so I'd suggest getting a tune to check the a/f and timing no matter how big the shot.

honestly, a tune is really not necessary for a 100 shot. there is more danger of u blowing a hole in ur intake manifold, than there is of blowing ur motor. 100 shot (wet) is fine on a stock tune. The cost of the tune is not worth it. of course it will make it safer, but that islike wanting to get a forged bottom end because u installed a cold air intake on ur car, lol! Safer, but not cost effective, hehe!

If you say so but I'd take the tuned route, just to be safe. That's just me though...

+if you have any other mods then for sure get it tune'd or if your car was tuned before the nitrous

remember guys! i am was saying it did not need a tune, ASSUMING that he is still running on a factory tune. but if he got it tuned, then he MUST GET IT RETUNED FOR THE NITROUS BECAUSE THERE IS A HIGH CHANCE HE'S RUNNING HIGHER THAN STOCK TIMING.
