Default Problems after TRYING to install 2.8 and chip..

Last night i installed the 2.80 pulley and set to install the chip for the 2.80 pulley but when we went to start it with the chip the fan would come on at electricat star(before the keys fully over) and the fuel pump just would not come on at all however the engine was turning over, so we started it without the chip and it started fine, but i cant go past 2k rpms i fear creating boost and blowing my engine, we thin k the problem is with the aftermarket alarm, it was on when i bought the car...

only other modifications include Borla at-Back, JLT TRUE CAI, and centerforce clutch, MGW Shifter

any helpwould be great and thanks in advance

P.S. the chip is superchips

the alarm is in no way going to affect the engine fans, or the fuel pump. try a different chip....

where is the cheapest place to get a hand held tunner

did you buy the chip new? usually they come blank and required to be programmed on a dyno

You should pick up a hand held tuner like a SCT from brenspeed.com

It's not recommended to use the tunes you can purchase with the hand held. It's best to get on a dyno and let the shop do the tuning.

LFP will get you a tune with SCT tuner for 379. They know what there doing.

you really need a dyno tune for a pulley swap, my buddy got a tune from lfp with the tuner and made 30 less h/p and 45 less t/q he gained it back with a dyno tune plus more. Only a dyno tune can give you a perfect a/f ratio, you dont wanna blow anything, these engines are like 10k

They dont make as much power because they make the tune on the safe side. Keep the a/f down and timing. I didnt say he shouldnt get a dyno tune, just said they offer that deal. And you can build a motor for 4500-5k.
