Hey guys i am gonna get another mustang because i miss driving one. I had a2003 Mach1 with full slp exhaust and a intake and i traded it for a s2000 because i missed having a honda and now i have been regreting it for a year and a half. Im selling my s2000 now and im lookingfor a 03 or a 04 Cobra. I wanna know if you guys like this setup i was thinking about doing when i get one. I wanna do SLP Lts, off road x, and lm1s, 2.8 pulley, Fluidyne heat exchanger because i have been reading they over heat sometimes probably a K&N intake or steeda idk yet and get it tuned somewhere but i dont know whereto go.I live in the Poughkeepsie, LaGrange area in New York. What else could i do to get 500 rwhp? I was also looking at that SLP performance Pac?Thanks guys

 

well a ~500rwhp cobra is full bolt on's.

your car will be loud as fudge thow

and as far as the slp performanc pac's forget it they are a rip

what were u thinking?? a mach 1 for a honda 2000? lol! but at leastu got it straightened out, because u want a cobra!

and yeah, i would definitely add a ported eaton and supercharger spacer to ur list....

SCT 2400 MAF

 

500rwhp mod check list... just my opinion on this but a good start

Steigmeier Stage IV ported Eaton
2.8 upper/2lb lower or 2.93 upper/4lb lower pulley setup
intake
tune
irs brace
head cooling mod
heat exchanger
short throw shifter
clutch quad. & cable adj.
midpipe
catback
flsfc's
drag radials

That should easily be 500rwhp or could be up to 530rwhp depending on your location and your tune.

 

To get 500 you will need....

Ported blower
Throttle Body (accufab)
2.8 upper and 4 # lower
Boost a pump
Good tune
Heat exchanger
IRS Brace because I guarantee you will break it with 500rwp
Nice CAI and Exhaust

Yeah, don't forget the BAP and the new MAF or at least MAFia. 500 is right around the limit of the stock parts so you need to upgrade those to be safe.

As a side question, how far will the stock injectors run? I thought they were around 500 as well but I could be wrong and they could be a little more. I'll probably get my S/C ported soon so I need to get a checklist myself for hitting 500+.

You do need a brace though, lol...but you dont need it to push 500rwhp out...

but isn't it funny that for the most part we all have the same list.. plus or minus 1 or 2 things?? lol

 

Haha, same basic mods get you an extra 100-150 RWHP for pretty cheap. The only thing I'm missing is the ported blower, but that's very likely happening this winter.
