Shorties are a waste of time, money, and effort unless you have a specific reason for needing them.

 

yeah, get the long tube headers...... stock 99 and 01 cobra exhaust manifolds are rediculously restrictive, although the 03/04 are suprisingly efficient!

 

Bassani mid-lengths, or Long-tubes!

 

If I have to I'm going Bassani LT's to match up to my Bassani O/R X...

But yeah, you won't feel anything w/ shorties, your better off keeping your stock manifolds if you plan on changing to shorties...

 

I dont think Basanni makes long-tubes for the 4v's. They make mid-lengths. They did develop new long-tubes for the new 3v's, but I dont think they developed them for us.

 

IMO, u can't beat a nice set of custom KOOKS long tube headers!!

 

I've got BBK Longtubes and they rock!

 

no you cant, but their pricetag can beat the hell out of your wallet.

 

Hey, while we're on subject sort of, not to hijack the thread, but what gains do LTs give an 03? I'm still learning what numbers you gain from everything. I'm not sure if it's something I should consider in the future or not. I think it's unlikely to happen though because my car is pretty damn low. I dunno, I can make it over speed bumps now still (at least I haven't scraped yet... I go really slow), so I might as well keep going until I can't right? [8D]
