Default 98 Cobra bolt ons

Ok I have a completly stock 98 atlantic blue cobra with 38k on it. So far I have put a steeda triax shifter into it and a drop in K&N , and a question i have is i have about 1,800 to play with I orderd a set of steeda underdrives for it and maybe if its worth putting a aluminum drive shaft in it too. what are a few other good bolt-on parts for performance with out sacrificing fuel mileage too bad. Like a set of MSD wires coils ect. I dont want to get too overboard since its soo nice to find a unmolested cobra and i get around 20-26mpg even with a little lead foot so im very happy with it. and i need a set of tires too Im thinking of going with a set of Goodyear eagle F1 all seasons 275/40/17 or 255/40/17 these are going on a set of Cobra R 17x9 is that smart narrow or wide??? thanks guys sorry that im all over the place im sure you can understand

I know a set of 4.10 gears wake these up alot. should i save my money up for a t-56 or supercharger

You might lose a few mpg but get rid of the cats, i belive 98 cobras come with 4 catyalitic converters, the same as my 96.When i swapped the stock exaughst with an off-road x-pipe, she pulled hard, it almost felt like a new car. Supposedly emissions were strict in these years and they took it out on V-8s

Also 4.10 gears are amazing, a friend of mine has 7xx hp to the wheels with 4.10 gears in his 96 cobra and he swears by them, however he also gets 9mpg and said the gears took a good bit away from him when switching from the stock 3.27s

Gears kill your gas mileage, but they sure do add a lot of "get up and go" to your car. The off-road X would add a lot of power too like TeeShirt says. Honestly though, I'd say you get her Port and Polished. It'll add horsepower, and there's physically no difference in appearance... so it wouldn't really be molesting it in my opinion. I don't know what that does to gas mileage though. You could always go with a chip too.

I have a 1996 Cobra motor. I have BBK Ceramic coated LT's, O/R H-pipe, custon Ram Air with k&N filter, Hay's clutch and 3:73's for all around gear and I am very happy with that! It's my Sunday car..lol Those are the best upgrades that money can buy! Everything else is a complete waste of money, well not complete waste but dollar for dollar are far less worth while.
