Default Forged Pistons

Hello everybody,

I'm looking to add some forced induction to my '01 Cobra some time in the future (hopefully soon) and I know that I really need some forged rods and pistons. I was just looking around ebay and I wanted to know if these would be worth buying, assuming the price doesn't go crazy.

Wow, that's really long... anywho, what do you think?

why the hell would you go through the process of tearing down and rebuilding and put in USED pistons? definately not worth it, even if you got them free.

Gotcha, glad I asked.

Pistons are no longer good after 20,000 miles?

are the walls of your cylinders good without having to be bored ever so slightly? probably not. most people bore their engines .02-.03 to get nice new smooth cylinder walls. once you do that, you need pistons that are the same diameter bigger than stock, so these wouldnt work for you.

that aside, even if you picked up a brand new block, why chance putting used pistons in? Its WAY too costly and too much work to cut corners like that.... at least IMHO.
