I have been thinking of adding to the stable by getting a 99 Cobra coupe, but I know that Ford had to fix the engine to get the 320hp but what do I need to look for if I get one (not just the engine). And I know the price should be around $13k-$14k by kbb, but what prices do you see around at dealers. Thanks for any info!

I just purchased a 1999 Cobra from a local Ford dealership(two weeks ago). It only had 55,000 miles on it and is in great shape. They were asking $15,000 for it but got it down to the $14,000 price where it should have been. I am extremely happy with the purchase. Good luck on the prospect of getting one too.

All 99 cobras had some recalls to look for. Make sure you ask the dealer to do a recall search on the car.
Recalls where
1. Spindel recall
2. e brake recall
3. seat belt retractors
And i think there was one more. When i get home i will tell you the last one. I can't seem to remember what it was.
