eaton swappers in here!!!!!!!
ok i can pick up a eaton for 450 bucks. now my question is what else will i need? i know i will need an intercooler.
how much did it cost to buy all the parts to make it run?
and it it worth it or should i just do nitrous and keep savin for a twin turbo?

RE: eaton swappers in here!!!!!!!
you would need lower crank pulley alternator and mounting brakets, heat exchanger, idler pulleys, timing chain cover, lower intake manifold, injectors, fuel rail? all the hard and soft lines and mounting brackets for the heat exchanger, fuel tank and pumps, intercoller pump. maybe a few other things.

just get the twins. because you have to start relocating everything. its not worth it. and then plus the fact u cant run high boost because of the higher compression. just run a small shot and then save for the TT's...worth it in the end. plus the fact with the twins you can just use your stock intake manifold too.

RE: eaton swappers in here!!!!!!!
people that do Eaton conversions spend in the neighborhood of $2500-3000 for all the crap needed... and that is if they find deals on everything.
you can find the stock eatons all over the place, but buying just that isnt even half the battle. its like 1/2 of 1/2 of 1/8 of the battle.
search for detailed write-ups on this.

i posted this on svtperformance alos. a bunch have done it and most are spending around 4-4,500 dollars. from start to finish.
i guess ima stick with nitrous, for now. then wait till i get ym car payment low and get a hp performance twin turbo or hellion single.

do even try to put an 03 s/c on a 99 to 01 cobra to much stuff .and you still got to build the bottom end.

yo'that's not very nice bro! i'll find that link ,and you can tell for yourselfs if you want to do it.
Q: Can I easily bolt up the eaton m112 from an 03/04 onto my 99/01.
A: Well, yes and no. Physically it will bolt up, but its not that simple. You will need a lot of parts, such as the blower, the intercooler, the heat exchanger, the intercooler pump, the secondary blower belt bracket, the crank pulley and bracket, another tensioner, all the bolts and brackets, and a way to relocate the alternator. Its not an easy bolt on. It will work, and make good power, but by the time you are done (even if you get the blower for steal) you will be up to the cost of the vortech, and you will still have an inefficient blower that pushes nothing but hot air about 14 psi. Also, the instant boost from a roots blower combined with the 9.85 compression may be difficult to tune for and could be hard on the stock bottom end.
