Default What should I do next? 03 cobra

I just bought a 2003 cobra, very happy too. It has 24k miles on it. It has Mac cold air intake, Magnaflow exhaust, Magnaflow x-pipe, pro 5.0 shifter, and diablo tuner for it. My problem is that I do not know where to go from here on it. I'm new to the mustangs. I am coming over from the rockcrawlin side of the world I have a 99 jeep wrangler with a lot of modsthat I put away in storage as I am moving around so much with the Marine Corps I can never get out enough to use it. I have noticed that mods seem endless for these just like my jeep but, It didn't stop me from trying to do it all before. You all seem to know these cars inside and out. What should I do next on this thing.I'm thinking about staying in the $1,000 to $1500 price range right now. I would like todo somework to the IRSbut, not real sure who or what to go with and I want to kick up the HP to 500. Any ideas or do I need to spend more for that?

to get to 500 the cheapest you would be loking at either porting the blower and supportig mods, or nitrous. going to a ported blower and upgrading the fuel systme to support it would put you at at least 1500 maybe a bit more after tuning an all is done. there are usually ported ones for sale on svtperformance.com you could pick up one of thise and then sell your stock one and save down time on the car. you wouls also be needing a BAP and a mafia. you might want ot get a lower pulley and in jectors as well.

excellent thanks for you help. is that going to max out what i can get without going with a different blower? Do you think it is worth it to do that or would you recommend saving up more and just getting rid of the eaton and going with a whole newsetup with upgrading the fuelsystem? I was thinking the injectors and the MAFIA as well. If I took the eaton setup off and went with a different one is it pretty easy to sell that? Because I know if I do that eventually I will want more than 500 and then that would be money wasted on the ported eaton.

whe i sold my ported eaton i got almost exactly what i paid. it is probably better to just go to the twin screw, but will cost you about 4k or more to get everything. ultimatley that is the way to go if you want to go more than 500. i had 522rwhp with my ported eaton setup.

while you save for a twin screw, get a smaller pulley for less than 100, and the output will be attractive

Instead of a twin screw... I just read on the svtperformance side that the stage 5 port on the eaton netted someone around 545rwhp/tor.... for 700 or so...

yeah but the power curve probably is not the same at all. the twin screw will pull harder throughout the powerband.

Ya steggie now offers a stage 5 port for $695 and it makes pretty impressive numbers. They also offer a stage 5+ which gains even a little more. Here is the link with all the info http://www.svtperformance.com/forums...d.php?t=447246 and here is the link with a list of the mods and dyno graphs http://www.svtperformance.com/forums...d.php?t=447463
