im building a motor with all forged internals, stageIIIported 03 cobra heads stage II cams, 175+ shot of nos i was going to get a 5.0 stroker shortblock but i found a 5.4 shortblock on sale at mmr for 2899.99. what do you guys think?

+1 460 stroked to 557 with a 300 shot= stupid fast.

go with the 5.4 shortblock, there is a reason they used it in the gt 500. the aftermarket for the 5.4 is growing extremely fast.

5.0L mod stoker= waste of money. Unless you like the braggin right sof sayin "I've got a stroker motor"
5.4L = lots of power plain and simple!

well thats a good deal for the block, but I dont think th 5.4 or 5.0 is worth it if your planning on FI

what?![>:]
the 5.4 is used in the GT500 and the ford Gt (aluminum there), but it can handle as much if not more than the 03-04 cobra motors.
