Default head cooling mod

Hello mustang owners,I have an 03 cobra i dont race it only an occasional burst of speed to satisfy my need for speed , so heres my question shes all stock only a cat back. how important is the head cooling mod, shes got 32.000 on the clock but only about 10.000 on the new engine, the first one let go at about 23.000 white smoke, so ford replaced it in 2005, do i need to have it done and whats the price i can expect to pay thanks. i would get one. i lost my motor last october due to heat build up in 7-8. i got the ldc head mod going in on my new build right now. The ldc kit is the best out there and it goes for around 220 bux. bear in mind the tranny has to come out of the car for this to be installed.

+1 get it done. I had the even flow - I don't think one's better then the other - they have the same essential pieces, and are installed really the same way - just ones on top of the motor and the other in on the bottom of the motor... regardless of which one you do - GET IT DONE!! it'll save your car one day.

God, so its gotta cost you a good grand or two to install it because the whole tranny has to come out?

well most people do either the even flow or the ldc... most people either swap the clutch or have to take off the blower for a swap, or to port it. So, what they do.. is if you're porting your blower and have to take it off for any reason - they put the Even Flow on.. if you swap the clutch or tranny they put the LDC on...

my tranny and motor is already out of the car for the build so it is no big deal.
