Default Headers

Im looking for upgrades for my 98 cobra and I was wondering what kind of gains could I see from headers or would it just change the tone of the exhaust? also what do you guys think would be best to match an o/r H pipe? I'm pretty new to the modding game so any advice would be much appreciated.

Headers are kind of a pain to install, there are alot of other small things you can do to give you the same hp gains. Pulleys, a tune, wires and plugs, and most of these things you can find in kits. rpmoutlet.com has some kits that are pretty reasonable and they tell you the hp gains to expect. I would hold off on headers, but thats just my opinion boss

They're not worth the money for the HP you'll be getting. On N/A cars you'll see only 5-7 hp at the wheels and around 10 w/ forced induction, definatly not worth it if you're on a budget...

Have you seen the exhaust manifolds off of a 03 cobra? Dont know if its the same , but what a joke. I would get headers and exhaust all the way to the tips they will compliment most all other mods and the sound is awesome

This is true, but if your looking for the most bang for the buck, I would try different routes.

yes and a real race motor cost $65k. You are "mini me" if you dont have the sound, you cant race from every stop light but you can sound good!
My 428 scj has the vined block( it makes alot of power but you would never want to blow up the block that would destroy the value) I dont really street race it for this reason i am nice to it. But the sound of the motor is so awesome that it makes my 03 cobra(with header, cat back etc...) sound like a honda civic with one of those fart mufflers on it. The sound is enough to scare most!

Set the money aside you are gonna die someday my 2 cents is buy now die broke!
