slight engine rattle
I have a 01 cobra wit 48,000 miles when i first got it i did not notice this noice but when i get up to right about 3000 RPM there is a slight rattle just right there at that rpm. I thought that it might be one of my cats like a plate fell loose cause i had that same thing on my old mustang which was a 2003. I ended up gettin a bassani O/R x pipe and i still have the rattle. It only rattles when the car is warmed up. I am thinkin there might be some loose part and that that rpm and engine sound its just enough to rattle it. But i also have no clue wut it could be. If anyone knows of anything or any suggestions or it has happened to u before i would greatly appriciate a comment. thanks

RE: slight engine rattle
Thats what my engine is doing in my case it is my motormounts there is almost no rubber left in the mount. I am going to try and change them out today with the engine still in the car. Ill tell you if this ends up being the only problem.

RE: slight engine rattle
can you get an audio file of the noise, there is to many parts that could rattle. could be the mounts, could be a valve, could be a stupid *** bolt.
if you change your motor mounts while the engine is still in then please, get a video, i've never been able to change ANY engine mounts with the engine in the car.

RE: slight engine rattle
i would get a vid of it but its not that loud of a noise that i can capture it wit a vid...u sorta need a tuned ear to that specific sound cause the exhuast drownds it out a bit....to me it just sounds like a loose part...

RE: slight engine rattle
i kno i hve a slight leak from the ps but idk why that would only make a noise when i hit 3000 no matter which direction...i just out on my x pipe so that is tight but i will look to see if a manifold bolt is loose to the engine...i figured i would hear air but the rest of the bolt could support it
