IMRC dilemna

IMRC dilemna
My plates move freely and are not gunked up but unfortunalety I have to remove the upper intake to replace the module that is bad. Should I keep the plates or dump them and remove the butterflies? Also, I just put this motor in last year and have only driven about 200 miles. I kept my gt harness from the computer to the firewall. Could this be my problem? I tried the cobra wiring from the ecu to the firewall and the car wouldn't start so I just kept the GT harness in there. I have the right CCRM so I assume my module is bad. Please let me know what I should do so this gets done once! No one else on the other forums I'm a member of can tell me what to do. They seem to know squat. Thanks

RE: IMRC dilemna
If you are using your GT PCM thats the problem, it cannot open the IMRCs i ran into the same problem, I couldnt get my cobra ECU to work with my swap eiother car would start and shut off after about 15-20 seconds, so i went with the deletes and a tune and everything was golden on my gt ECU.

RE: IMRC dilemna
The GT harness from the computer to the firewall does not have the propersetup to use the imrc's. You will also need a cobra ecu with that wiring. You couldRemove the imrcactuator and the butterflies and port match the imrc plates youll be glad you did Or If youwant cobra wiring I have a bunch and it would be cheap pm me if interested.Either way you will either need a reflash or a cobra ecu.
