Default Tips on new 2001 SVT

Im kind of worried about going from an 2006 cobalt ss/sc into a 2001 SVT. I dont really know too much about the SVT ( other than I always wanted one! ) in terms of durability and such. I found a 2001 with 40k miles on it, and am in the process of buying it. Are there any issues I may have to watch out for that you can suggest? What type of maintenance should I do/consider when it finally arrives? Thanks for any advice! You guys rock!

as long as it hasnt been beat to **** already, just keep up on the regular stuff. dont pay attention to the owners manual, use 6.5 quarts of oil when doing a change. Oil starvation is one of the biggest problems with these cars as far as Im concerned.
