Default Sustained high speeds

I was thinkin of doing the Silverstate classic challenge next year so Ive got a long time to prepare. If I do go to this eventI will have to be at very high speeds(just under 120)for long periods of time. I am buying a kenne bell(6-8psi+ SHM blower cams) pretty soon and I already have a visteon racing radiator by the end of summer I should have enough to buy a t-56 and mmr shortblock. The problem I just thought of is that I have 4.30's in my car soI will probably need to buy the viper spec t-56 to keep my revs down right? What kinds of other cooling mods should I get (Even Flow cooling kit?)and will I be okay with a kenne belland my current gear setup?

A T56 with 4:30's will be fine. It would be smart to stick a T56 in there definately. Too much rpms for a T45 on those gears

i still think i would back it down a bit even with a t-56. how long are you talking about being at 120-130 mph? are there areas where you would be eben faster? i got to think with 4.30 gear even in 6th gear to get to 125mph you would be looking at winding it around 4k rpm. i could be wrong i am not a gearing expert.

Lose the 4.30's....you're going to have enough power with the Kenne Bell that you don't need/you will not be able to use that much gear anyways.

I wouls say save your money on the T56 although they are sweet trans. Get yourself some 3:73 gears and call it a day! I would swap you, but I'm looking for 4:10's. With 3:73's and a T45 at 120mph you should see just under 3k rpms. More like 4200 with the 4:30's. The t56 should drop about 300rpms compared to the T45

I am not going to have to be at 120 for too long as Ive figured out .A friend of mine has actually done it before and he says I have to average about 95 to win for the class I want to enter I do not have the prerequisites to do any of the other groups. I will only have to be at really high speeds for only a few minutes to componsate for the narrows.120 is at just under 5000 revs with my current transmission and with the t56 It should be closer to 4000 rpms. That should be in the acceptable range with a good radiator and the EVEN FLOW right?
