Need to remove outer crank pulley on an 03
I have to replace the rear 6 rib belt but can't seem to get good info on how to remove the outter 8 rib pulley on my Cobra. It has a 14mm..inverted hex in the front. No bolts that I can see. I had a huge 14mm allen head socket tha I put in it and tried to turn it but no dice. IS this thing pressed on too?
Really need help.

Yeah dude, you need to put the hex tool in, then get a 1/2" socket on it, and maybe a 32 foot breaker bar. Just kidding, but you need like a 5 foot breaker bar. Take out the battery and tray, and the littler resevoir thing, and stand on the driver side, with a friend, or by yourself. Then pull it like there is NO tomorrow. You will hear a HUGE BANG! Don't worry, nothing is broken. Next your going to just unscrew from there with the socket. For your information, it is one of the hardest installs ever.

Well I put it in reverse, yanked the e-brake HARD as I could. Also, it is reverse threaded. And it will kind of turn, only slightly, but just position the breaker bar towards the passenger side as much as you can, then get on driver side and it will kind of give at first, then get REALLY tight and it will feel stuck but just keep pulling and POW! It will be off.

Well, I got this freakin thing off and now when I spin it the thing looks bent. I took it to my waste of a local dealer ship and they agreed. This item cost $850. I can't believe that all I wanted to do was replace my belt and idler bearings and this shaft bent that easy. Does anyone make aftermarket parts for the outer pulley assembly?

Wow, dude the WHOLE assemply sells for ~$100 used. But man, get this kit now! It's cheap, and will give you some down-low power, it will be a HUGE difference. Do you have an upper pulley? If not, then get a 6#, but here is a chart I will make to show you the good combonations:
3.1" upper = 6# lower
2.93" upper = 4# lower
2.80" upper = 2# lower
2.76" upper = 2# lower
2.63" upper = none
Here is the link to the lower pulley kit, and you need the KIT, not the lower pulley ring itself:

RE: Need to remove outer crank pulley on an 03
Update: On a hunch I put this thing all back together and the crank pulley is not bent, even though it sure looked like it. I think the way outer ring is mounted to the inner hub via rubber cushions and the the fact that the threaded piece that goes thru the center of the bracket has some movement when you tap it around makes it appear bent until it is bolted back together and threaded back to the harmonic balancer. I would suggest that anyone who thinks theirs is bent to try it again before you pitch it.
Thanks for the pulley info but I don't need any more boost. I have a Kenne Bell, BAP, Big Air, Cold induct and a SCT Tune getting me close to 19lbs boost and 550 or so HP.
I just got this car last fall and am still learning about it.
Thanks everyone.
