Do not race if you do not know how to.

Go to the track and practice, until you get it right. You're going to make an *** out of yourself, so be ready - but keep practicing.

On a side note: You don't want to shift at redline, but you don't want to shift to early either. If you shift to early (while you're shifting at the peak of your power band) your leaving yourself in a low rpm in the next gear. I always shifted a few hundred rpm shy of redline, this way I wasn't nailed the revlimiter and I was keeping myself in the race by not premature shifting..

(some of these guys have a problem with doing things premature lol)

i learned how to powershift at 16 on a black fox body at normal speeds it burned the clutch up but it was a p.o.s anyway i would never dream to try to learn on the cobra, sorry but learn on a different car bud and trust me they know u suck at driving even if ur beating them they can hear the slow shifting

but alas im still not the best driver .. see thread ..in need of a new clutch

hey man dont trip on some fools on here. apparently some here walk on water but dont sweat it. just drive it like ur comfortable driving it. some can race and others cant. with time and practice u will get where u need to be. plus the less u get on it the longer it lasts. u got a collectors item man not an everyday gt. if u must race then take the advice above and ignore the asshats that insult for insults sake.

the original poster sounds like a former ricer, so thats how im treating him... probably one of those idiots that races through traffic endangering my family's lives, instead of settin up races at the track, or at least in remote areas with almost no traffic, to get his *** handed to him from a dig...
