This may be just thebearing making contact with press. plate and beginning to spinor possiblya failing throw-out bearing. Does the sound happen just as the clutch is pressed, and stop immediately? Does the clutch pedal vibrate or feel funny otherwise?

Jazzer, like #6, looking for information......information

+1 I had the same problem at one point and it was the bearing.

If it ONLY makes a little "squeel" when you first press the clutch, sounds like it is just the bearing spinning-up from a stop upon contact with pressure plate. If the clutch feels OK otherwise, wouldn't worry about it much. To replace the bearing, it would be best to just do a clutch at the same time. It is not much more money, and to pull the trans. is quite a little job.
