how much power can you get out of the 4v cobra motors without doing any kind of forced induction or nitrous?

You can make a bunch of horsepower but its going to cost you. I am temporarilly doing a naturally aspirited build, Ill tell you what I can squeeze out. I have full port and polished 96 cobra heads, I am going to port and shorten my intake about 2 1/2 inches and then I am adding the fr500 cam set.I may add in a mmr 5.0 stroker shortblock.I am hoping for about 350 at the wheels anything more would be great : )

+1 But it will cost you alot more money then just going FI. Why are you against going FI?

yeaFI is way cheaper just has to be set-up right, but that goes for any mod to get the full benefit of it. are u going for an all motor sleeper or just want and all motor monster?

big cams plus big heads = high hoarse power. But you still need the cubes man. Look at the cobra R's they make great power ona na 5.4 or the ls1s they make 500 rwhp on the crazzy ones on stock internals and they are just a liter larger and less efficient heads. Mabe 415rwhp with a nice largeee cam and way ported heads you can make it.

A blower itself is less expensive but i eventually plan on building the car far beyond my goal of 450rwhp.

With a blower i would need forged internals, the blower setup itself, and i would go with the t56. That would all cost me alot of money(i want the car to last awhile). So i figured i'll build the engine over a couple of years so that when i do supercharge it, it'll be even stronger and will last longer(hopefully).
