What can the 96-98 Cobra's handle as far as revving. I bought a V2 SQ 10#pulley and just installed it. I'm heading ot the dyno shop tomorrow or wednesday. I don't know what i should tell him to stop the dyno at. I was think no more than 7krpms on the final pull? I was told these cars will produce power with the centri's all way up to 7500rpms. I don't know if the engine can handle that high of a rev regardless of 10psi or stock! What would suffer? Any help would be great. Thanx

I wouldnt take it over 6,500 rpms.
Shyt as to be built right and light to take rpms over that, IMO

remember at 6,000 rpm your pistons are going up and down 100 times every second.
why torture your engine like that for an extra 20-40hp ???

Weather or not you take your RPM's up to 6000K~7500K, you will STILL have the exact same HP/torque. This all just comes down to bragging rights anyway.

As far as going that high all the time, it wouldn't happen. I may bring it up to 6500 to shift when running it hard but I think it should be brought up to atleast 6500 so I know it's gonna be okay as far as a/f. I wasn't sure if running up to 7k or so with that much boost would have any negative effects as long as the tune is good?

Actually, the a/f is something I failed to consider in my above post, cuz I never bring my n/a up over 5500K. I'd be nice to look closely to see how much the a/f changes on a Cobra between 6000K~7000K on a dyno curve.
