i have ether a rod or a lifter ticking
im not sure wich 1 it is so im just gonna park the car in the garage and stroke the motor
and install stage 3 pi race heads
i was wondering if anyone here knows where i can find a stroker kit for a 99 mustang cobra
iv looked at brothers performance and iv had somone tell me serries 4340 and 9000 is for 5.0's

just because you have a tick? That's hilarious. A common prob among the cobra's. It's probably a lazy lash adjuster. Not a huge deal. It will just be an annoyance for the most part. Not to say it cannot get worse because it will, but it can be like that for 40kmi???who knows before it causes any major problems or sounds like marbles in a can..lol

[ul][*]stage 3 race heads are uselss on the streets if you are N/A. stage 2 is perfect. 3's flow too much . Hurts down low tq.[*]stroker kits are not all that worth it for mod motors[*]4340 is not a series, it's a casting like 4340 forged.....lol

yes the ticking is really anoying when i first start it up it runs fine it dont tick or nothing,
but then once i start going and i hit 2k rpm the ticking gets really really loud, then if i rev it up to 5-6k prm itl keep ticking untill i shut off the motor, to me it seems like im loosing alot of power, i dont know much about stroker kits or heads im usto doing small mods
nothing really major
it said siries 4340 and siries 9000 so.. i dont know

Just buy fr500 cam set its all the parts that could be messed up in the heads with undercut stainless valves and race cams. 4v > 2v dont go backwards

 

yeah i could do that but id rather just get everythinga stroker kit and the cam set
