hey did you have to remove anything under the dash for the front bars to go through? did you have to remover dash to cut it ? get some close ups at the windsheild please for me. i cant run agian unless i get a 10 pt cage for my vert, that is going to look gay with the top down.how are you going to paint the bar? is it chrome moly or mild steel. looks great! what brand is it ?

 

it is chromemoly,nothing came out from under the dash. but the das was removed in order to make the cuts along with the rest of the intoerior. the bars go through the floor boards and ar welded to the fram and connectors in the rear. It was a custom built cage speciffically for the car so there is no brand. i can get some more pics for you in a few days when i have the car back at home. i am trying to figuure out what the best way to paint it is going to be.

 

my old boss, used a paint brush to paint brush to do his bmw road race car. i would have never thought to brush paint it , spray will be hard as hell. with lots of over spray. looks great!

 

auto, in your case, like a nice c4, would definitely get you into the 9's, a lot faster than your 6 speed...

 

Nice work. Figure out how to paint that to match your car and it'll really look sweet. You are planning to put some padding on that, aren't you? Would hate to see someone bash their head on it. So I take it you're looking to run 9s or faster? I personally would not put a full cage in a street car, though. Too many people advised against it.

 

hoping to get to the 9's sometime soon. I need to put some padding on it at least on the sides it gets fairly close to the head area. you guys think it should be silver or black?
