Found a pair of these from Summit....

any opinion on them or anybody with experience. would be great if it would help with the wheel hop.

 

I thought the '01 had IRS so these will not work for you.

There are several things recommended for upgrade of IRS. Therewas a wonderful link (to another forum) a few weeks back to someone who had logged massive amounts of info, mostly through trial and error. Someone will come up with that link for you.

Thats odd that summit says they fit our cars though and only recommends bushings? It also says it replaces the stock ones. Anyone care to clarify?

 

Summit doesnt know what their talking bout. The instructions use words like "axle housing" and using SRA intallation methods. Besides, if this was for an 2001 IRS, you'd need coilovers as theres no spring perch. Just a typo or something.

 

ok thanks for clarifying that. just trying to figure out if it would be more cost effective to stay irs and see what i can do to make it better for launching, or swap in a solid rear

 

the most effective way is to o with a straight axle, but you loose some of the fun in the twisties
