I want to put headers on my 99 cobra, so I am looking for some suggestion from you guys that have headers. Should I go with long tubes or short tubes, what brandof headers are better. (I know personal opinion but it always helps)x- pipe or h-pipe, and what kind of mufflers. Right now I have flowmaster 40 series mufflers.

 

long tubes produce better numbers (pain to install) andI like xpipes on cobras. As far as brands, headers and mid pipe dont matter as much for sound as the catback. I like my magnaflow exhaust though

 

longtubes, shorties arent e ven worth the work.

All depends on what kind of money your trying to spend, no matter what its going to be expensive, but you can deffinately make the amount of money you spend go way up depending on the quality of parts you actually want to get.

I just bought some pypes LT's. Look into MAC, pypes, and BBK... See what you like and what's in your budget. The midpipe and catback are just your choice of sound...

then go with a set of bbk LTs(ceramic coated) and catback of ur choice, with an o/r H or X(depending on the catback)
