Default 96 Cobra Lowering

Ok, I am ready to spend the money on a lowering kit and new suspension parts right away. I have a 96 Cobra convertible. What is the best place to buy from and what is the best lowering kit if I want to achieve a 1.5 inch drop on my car?

Also, should I look to purchase new struts/shocks and camber kits as well? My cobra currently has 1500 miles and I do not know how good the original equipment is.

Need help and some direction for you all since i am sure most of you have done this conversion.

Thanks,
TTCOBRA96

Maximum Motorsports and Griggs Racing both are excellent. You want to see an SN95 Cobra haul ***? Check out this video.

^ My sentiments EXACLTY

I am running the GR-40/SLA and is unreal on the twisties. Seen that Cobra many times at the Griggs shoppe andJohn was going to take me for a cruise out on the track, but ran out of time that day [&o]. I have seen the full 1GHz fileof that vid and sound and resolution are awesome!

i had Eibach on my last car, they were nice, but i like the rake of H&R Super Sports better, if youre looking for a suggestion on brand of springs.

if you want a 1.5 inch drop all around, with a nice ride that is between the stiffness of the H&R's and the softness of the eibachs, go with the MM springs, i know someone who has them, great product and he couldnt be happier.. then get the MM 4bolt CC plated

You can go a different route, but it depends on what you plan on doing with your car

personally, with these cars, id rather have more of a drop in the front than out back, to give it that leaning rake. but thats just me.

Get the H&R Super Sports. They give it a really nice drop. Buy them from Americanmuscle.com...theres also a really good write up on how to install these. It's VERY easy.

I Was going to go with the H&R for mine but when I bought it it had Eibach Prokit springs already and looks how I want it and handles well so I will stick with them for a while.
