Default Fluidyne Questions

I was looking at getting a new cooling set up for my 2003 Cobra..But I wondering what all do I need? and is it easy to install? Also I have seen some with Cobra lettering on the radiator how do you do that? Is it an insert or something?

some companies offer to do it for 15 some odd dollars. it's easy, just get a huge cardboard, write what you want it to say. then cut out wording, place it on h/e, and apply paint with a spary can.

and i'm pretty sure it's an easy install. i plan on tackling this mod when funds become available.

It's actually a very easy install... you only have to have patience...

I had to remove my front bumper cover though when i did mine... that was the biggest pain in the **** of the whole thing... that and I spilled coolant when I drained it a few times, lol...

I put on a HE (Afco) & tank (LFP)....took me only a few hours....LFP sales the decal (many types) to put on the HE for $10....I put mine on after I installed (just taped & papered verything off)...

It is a very easy project. I am wanting to paint the h/e black but Iam wondering if it will affect the cooling. The reason for this is to many people don't belive me when I say I'm stock.

It won't help cooling, but it'll help your motor from heatsoaking as badly... it only charges the incoming air, not anything once it's already in the motor

what won't help with cooling the paint or the h/x?
i know the a paint wont help but it looks cool. =)
if the h/x cools your intercooler, which in turn cools the manifold, then the manifold will soak more head out of the heads as well. how much, probably not much, but it helps.
