I agree i wouldnt go to steep with gears if he plans on a blower. I have 4.10s and i need about 3.55 maybe 3.73. All i do is spin

 

yea again hes just worried about his low end tq will it be better with aftermarket cams?

 

what they are getting at with the gears is that if you get steeper you an get up to your torque curve quicker works good like cams...the best i've seen with some cams over the cobra cams is this b/c the cobra cams r allready some of da best...take comp XE262AH cam and take the degree from 108 to 114.5 and from start to finish your TQ&HP are over the stock you get no less than 14 hp & no less than 22lb TQ throughout he whole range. long tube headers help low end and are over stock through range too

i knw crower makes a stage 1 cam for like $900 and the are drop in no other mods nescessary, but idk about the power gain from them, but the higher stage u get it will need tuned, different injectors, bigger MAF, and more stuff beyond that. but if im not mistaken FRPP makes complete valvetrain package for the 4v's comes with everything springs, cams, valves, etc. for like $1600

 

Cali isn't stopping me from getting long tubes. I know some people that can pass you, you just gotta pay the finders fee to meeeeee. BWAHAHAHAHAHA.
