i just bought a reichard racing 3.20pulley (11-12psi) for my procharger p1sc/intercooled/meth injection. will it be safe to run 12psi on my stock motor with a safe tune??

right now i have 3.60 at 8psi!

i'd advise you to get forged internals for any kind of boost so i would say no

 

it's not my daily driven car and it only see's the track once a year at the most, it has 24mile on it! does that change anything??

 

still, you'd have some risk. do you mean the motor only has 24 miles on it?

 

yes only 24miles on the motor and the rest of the car.. don’t drive it much, only when i need some adrenalin.. lol

I have a 99 Cobra and was told 8 is safe but 10 was chancing it. I would imagine it is a matter of time, if not a short time before you throw a rod or something. I am not a mechanic and am going on herasay, but personally I would not run 12 psi on stock internals.

 

Race gas and/ or meth injection can do wonders Kenne bell says you can run 10-11 psi on 100 octane but that would be expensive if it was ever a dd. Why not get a shortblock and run much more boost though?

 

i already have the meth/water injection but maybe if i run 100% meth it will boost my octane level to over 110 right? +the safe tune what do u think… i would love to rebuild it but we just had a baby so its a no no "for now"lol..

 

i wouldnt go more then 10 psi if it was mine..u say you dont want to rebuild the motor, well then dont run 12 or your internals will be laying in the middle of the road...eventually maybe not right away but its a ticking time bomb
